A versatile daily driver designed to help you catch more waves, build momentum and keep the performance feel you want as your surfing progresses.

Daily Driver 2–10ft Five-Fin Intermediate · Advanced

The Score Lord

More waves. More flow. More chances to progress.

The Score Lord is Pyzel’s take on a modern daily driver: a blend of width, thickness and rocker designed to make paddling and wave-catching easier without losing the responsiveness that makes a performance board fun.

The shape was refined over several years with feedback from surfers riding it in a range of conditions. The aim was to add useful volume and paddle power while keeping the rails and tail sensitive enough for turns, rail changes and surfing in the pocket.

Wave Range 2–10ft

Designed to cover a broad range of everyday conditions, from smaller surf to more powerful waves.

Category Daily Driver

A versatile all-rounder for surfers who want paddle power and performance in one board.

Bottom Vee → Double Concave

Subtle vee through the outline transitions into double concave through the back two-thirds.

Fin Setup Five-Fin

Supplied as a five-fin design, giving you the option to tune your setup to the conditions and your preferences.

The Score Lord is all about making your everyday sessions count: paddle power and stability when you need them, with a responsive tail and enough performance to keep progressing.

What makes it work

Easy speed and paddle power. Responsive when you put it on rail.

Pyzel combines a slightly forward wide point and fuller nose with extra foam under the chest for paddling. The nose stays refined, while the rails and tail are foiled down to preserve sensitivity. Lower entry rocker helps the board glide and carry speed; a long, continuous tail rocker helps it fit into steeper sections and turn smoothly.

01 · Paddle

Volume where it helps

Foam is carried forward under the chest to support paddling and wave entry, while the nose remains refined.

02 · Speed

Low entry rocker

The lower nose rocker is designed to help the board paddle easily, plane efficiently and carry speed through flatter sections.

03 · Turns

Continuous tail rocker

The more pronounced tail rocker helps the board fit into curvier parts of a wave and roll into turns without feeling sluggish.

The shape

A clean outline with a forward wide point and rounded pin tail.

Pyzel describes the Score Lord as having a clean outline with its wide point positioned slightly forward. The nose is full and a touch wider than the tail, while the back half remains streamlined and finishes in a rounded pin.

The bottom starts with subtle vee running from nose to tail, blending into double concave through the back two-thirds. Pyzel says this helps the board feel lively, lift onto the water and transition quickly from rail to rail.

01 · Intermediate

More paddle support

Surfers building consistency can consider sizing up from their height to add stability, glide and easier wave entry.

02 · Advanced

A versatile daily driver

More experienced surfers may ride it around their own height or slightly shorter, or choose a longer size for a more relaxed feel.

03 · Progression

More waves, more practice

Its blend of paddle power and responsiveness is aimed at surfers who want to increase wave count while continuing to develop their surfing.

Sizing

Score Lord dimensions.

These are Pyzel’s published standard dimensions. Sizing depends on your ability, fitness, preferred volume and the conditions you surf. Pyzel suggests more experienced surfers may ride around their height or slightly shorter, while intermediate surfers may prefer a board longer than their height for additional paddle power and stability.

Bob's Take

A daily driver built around the sessions you actually get.

The Score Lord’s appeal is the balance: enough width and foam to make paddling and wave-catching feel more accessible, but with the rocker, rail foil and rounded pin tail to keep it responsive when you want to turn.

For intermediate surfers, the extra length Pyzel suggests can make sense if your priority is getting into more waves and building consistency. More experienced surfers can start closer to their own height and choose a size that matches the feel they want.

It is not a one-condition specialist. Pyzel positions the Score Lord as a versatile daily driver for surf from around 2 to 10 feet, with a stock five-fin setup that lets you tune the board to your preference. As always, treat the dimensions as a starting point and match the final volume to your ability, fitness and local waves.
