🌊 Tide Is Part of the Break
The seabed stays in the same place, but the depth of water over it changes. That changes where waves break, how steep they become and how water moves around the beach.
🧭 A Simple Tide Model
- Low tide: less water covers the seabed; some banks become more defined while others become too shallow.
- Mid tide: the break moves through a transition zone that may be particularly useful.
- High tide: deeper water can soften or move the breaking wave, while access and currents can also change.
There is no universal “best tide”. Every break has its own personality.
