Hung Up Ripclips Surfboard Hanger?
There are a number of surfboard hangers out there, but none off the universal convenience of the Rip Clip Universal surfboard Hanger.
So How Did It All Start?
JT is an Ocean Engineer and surfer in San Diego. JT's wife Ali, would always mention that he had too many surfboards stacked in the corner of their room. And that they were taking up too much space in their small apartment.
So, this left JT with two options:
- Sell some of his beloved surfboards or
- Figure out a space-saving storage solution.
JT began to brainstorm ideas for how he could quickly and conveniently hang his surfboards, without damaging the fragile fiberglass, while keeping the fins and leash intact.
After over 20 designs, 6 prototypes and 1 year of testing, JT came up with the Rip Clip. This not only solved his initial problem of saving space but also solved other issues such as preventing his boards from getting wax on each other and dinging tails on the floor.
