Skateboard Longboard
The longboard is a widely popular type of skateboard. In this description, we'll cover all the basics of this iconic sidewalk surfing board. Longboard skateboards are used by riders for a variety of purposes and in various skating styles, including downhill, freestyle, slalom, street luge, cruising, carving, and dancing. Technically, a longboard is a larger version of a skateboard, ranging from 38 to 60 inches (96-152 centimeters) in length.
The name comes from longboard surfboards, which are much bigger than traditional shortboards. The wheels on a longboard are also larger (60-80 mm) and softer (with a durometer hardness of around 78-82), providing a smoother ride and less trouble on sidewalk cracks. Almost all popular skateboard brands offer longboard models in their collections.
