If you love the feel of your Ghost and Phantom Surfboard but want a chunkier board for smaller surf, the Gremlin is perfect! Based on the Ghost DNA, it’s the Step-Down cousin to the Phantom, with extra volume. It’s shorter, wider, and flatter, designed for quick acceleration, sustained speed, and great paddle power.
The Gremlin is made to excite you on less-than-epic days and give you a taste of FunFormance in any surf. The wider outline is complemented by a low entry rocker for speed and glide in slow sections. The tail rocker adds performance and maneuverability. The bottom features a single to double concave, with a touch of Vee at the tail.
This board paddles easily, goes fast, and maintains a snappy, drivey, high-performance feel to maximize every wave. Advanced surfers may prefer this board 4-6 inches shorter than their height, and it still delivers high performance. Intermediate surfers should choose a size closer to their height. It’s also a great transitional board for beginners moving from longboards to a more FUNformance design! Whatever length you choose, it should be wider and thicker than your shortboard.
