Tiger Series 1–6ft Twin + Trailer · Thruster Speed & Flow

The Tiger Twin

Small-wave speed. Big-time fun.

The Tiger Twin blends ideas from two of Pyzel’s much-loved smaller-wave designs: the Happy Twin and the White Tiger. It was developed to generate easy speed in weaker surf, while keeping the responsiveness and manoeuvrability needed when the waves improve.

Its wider beak nose, lower rocker and single-wing swallow tail help it paddle and accelerate easily. The twin-plus-trailer setup is designed to deliver the loose, speedy feeling of a twin while adding a little extra control.

Wave Range 1–6ft

Designed to make the most of weaker, flatter surf and remain lively when conditions improve.

Outline Wide & User-Friendly

A wider beak nose and single-wing swallow tail balance easy paddling with manoeuvrability.

Bottom Double to Vee

Double concave runs through most of the board, transitioning to a flatter vee panel off the tail.

Fin Setup Twin + Trailer

Designed around a twin-fin feel with a centre trailer; Pyzel also lists a thruster setup.

What makes it work

Easy speed. Loose, lively turns.

The Tiger Twin combines a paddle-friendly outline and lower rocker with a bottom contour that helps it accelerate and roll from rail to rail. The result is a board aimed at fun, fast surfing in everyday conditions.

01 · Acceleration

Lower rocker profile

The lower overall rocker helps the board paddle easily and get moving quickly, particularly through smaller, weaker sections.

02 · Flow

Double concave to vee

Double concave through most of the bottom transitions into a flat-panel vee off the tail, helping the board roll from rail to rail despite its width.

03 · Control

Twin + trailer design

The twin-plus-trailer concept offers the speed and looseness associated with a twin, with a centre fin to add control for surfers not quite ready for a full twin setup.

Why the Tiger Twin?

Make the most of everyday surf.

Benji Brand riding the Pyzel Tiger Twin

The Tiger Twin is aimed at surfers who want a board that makes weaker conditions more enjoyable without feeling limited when the surf gets better. Its outline and rocker are designed to help it get up to speed, while the tail and bottom contours support quick rail-to-rail transitions.

It also offers a useful middle ground for surfers curious about twin-fin surfing. The twin-plus-trailer setup gives you a taste of that loose, fast feeling with a little extra reassurance from the centre fin.

The shape

A wide, friendly outline with a lively tail.

The Tiger Twin uses a wider beak nose and a single-wing swallow tail. Combined with the lower rocker, this shape is designed to paddle easily, generate speed in weaker waves and remain manoeuvrable when you take it into the pocket.

Underneath, double concave through most of the board transitions into a flat-panel vee off the tail. Pyzel describes this combination as helping the board move smoothly from rail to rail despite its width.

Bob's Take

The Tiger Twin looks made for making average days more enjoyable.

What stands out about the Tiger Twin is its clear purpose: easy speed in weaker surf, paired with a lively feel when you want to push through turns. The lower rocker and fuller outline help with paddling and acceleration, while the winged swallow tail and double-to-vee bottom are designed to keep it manoeuvrable.

The twin-plus-trailer setup is also a sensible entry point for surfers who like the idea of a twin but want a little more control. It is not just about going fast down the line; Pyzel describes a board that can still feel agile in the pocket and handle a range of conditions on better days.

Our advice: start by comparing the published volumes against boards you already ride, then factor in your ability and the waves you surf most. Pyzel notes that volume is a guide rather than an exact formula, and that weaker-wave boards may call for a little extra foam.
