⚡ Speed Comes From the Wave

Good speed generation isn't simply moving your body faster. It starts with using the energy already available in the wave.

A well-positioned surfer can maintain speed with surprisingly little movement because the board remains connected to the useful part of the face.

Small changes through the feet can help the board accelerate and release. The movement should match the wave. On a small wave, exaggerated pumping can push the board into slower water.

Yes. A foam board can teach excellent line choice and weight control, although it will respond differently from a shorter hard board.
