🎯 Module Mission

Build a more connected style of surfing by improving wave reading, positioning, turning, speed generation and your ability to link skills together.

📚 In This Module You'll Learn

  • How to read the wave before and after take-off.
  • How better positioning creates easier waves.
  • How to use the bottom turn as a foundation for turns.
  • How to generate and manage speed.
  • How to link decisions and movements into a complete ride.

🌊 The Next Stage of Your Surfing

At this point, the goal isn't simply to stand up and make it to the beach. You're learning to make better decisions on the wave and use your body and board deliberately.

Work through the five lessons in order. Each one builds on the previous lesson, so don't rush ahead just because a particular manoeuvre sounds more exciting.

🧭 Your Progression Path

  1. Read: understand what the wave is offering.
  2. Position: put yourself where the wave can help you.
  3. Turn: use direction changes to stay connected to the face.
  4. Speed: create or reduce speed when the wave demands it.
  5. Link: connect your decisions into one flowing ride.

🇬🇧 UK Surf Tip

UK waves change quickly. Developing adaptable technique is more useful than trying to copy a surfing style designed for one perfect type of wave.
