Northcore grew out of the cold, rugged environment of the British North Sea — where getting in the water means dealing with proper weather, proper cold and the need for equipment that simply works.

The story began with founder Matt Strathern and a simple idea: the Keypod, a secure way for surfers to keep their car keys safe while they were in the water. That original product became the starting point for Northcore, which developed into a wider range of practical surf, watersports and outdoor gear.

From changing mats and surfboard hardware to leashes, bags, roof-rack equipment and changing robes, Northcore has stayed true to that original philosophy — solve a real problem, make the product properly and build it to survive the environment it's going into.
